Yes, that’s what we have become!
We’ve been to Sea World three times, THREE TIMES, since December 2007. We got ourselves silver passports because we planned on taking my Mom here during her vacation with us (from December 2007 - February 2008) and we were expecting my brother to come some time in Spring. And then of course, we never know when visitors will come. Besides, San Antonio is but an hour and forty-five minute drive. Having come from the Philippines, an hour and forty-five minute drive is peanuts! Unfortunately, we were not able to take my Mom to Sea World because they were closed since the New Year and didn’t re-open for the 2008 season until the first weekend of March. We thought all the while that they were open year-round. Hee hee!

This is us last year, 01 December 2007.

Our second visit, 02 March 2008. I was in red again. Different tops though! Hahaha!

Our most recent visit, 06 April 08. I made sure I was no longer wearing red.
This is the reason for our last visit…

Unforunately, we only managed a glimpse of Dora’s back and from a distance at that! There was no mention anywhere, whether on the website or in the mailers that there will be tickets for the meet and greet thing, available on a first come first served basis. We got to the park at 1pm and we found out only later in the day that tickets had ran out 45 minutes after they started issuing them at 10am! Grrr.
Hubby and I did feel a little bad for Abby because she was looking forward to seeing Dora. But she was such a good sport. We did make it up to Abby some other way…by letting her feed a few animals.

First on our feeding list were the sea lions. A tray with 4 pcs. of fish cost $4.00.

How sweet! If only they were always like this. Hahaha!

Next, we fed the lorikeets. Ok, hubby did the feeding. We first had to purchase a cup of nectar worth $3 so we can gain access to the Lorikeet cages. Here’s Abby trying to whistle at the red lorikeet feasting on the cup of nectar tucked safely in hubby’s hand. More lorikeet pics here.

I had to have a picture, too!

Next on our “feeding program” were the dolphins at the Dolphin Cove.
![]()
This is dolphin food. A tray is worth $5. We bought two…
![]()
…one for Abby…

…and one for the the dolphin.
Hee hee!

It was hard to tear Abby away from the dolphins. She could spend a good amount of time just watching them. Thankfully, she agreed to pose for me. I can’t recall if I bribed (maybe threatened?) her. Hee hee!
For once, I was able to enjoy Shamu’s “Believe” show. That’s because my camera had ran out of batteries. Otherwise, I’d just be waiting to capture every jump, splash and dive of this gorgeous whale…as I’ve done during our first two visits.
Even if we didn’t get the chance to actually meet and greet Dora, our recent Sea World adventure turned out to be the finest yet. I honestly am looking forward to our next visit. We promised Abby she’ll be swimming at the Lost Lagoon, Sea World’s mini waterpark, when we come back.
I hope your week’s coming up roses.
Enjoy the rest of it!

Hey, Weng, you guys are really keeping Sea World alive. I hope Abby does not get tired of that place since you guys might not want to bring us there when we get a chance to visit.
The picture of Abby and Dondi was perfect.

Munchkin, the photograph of your gal and hubby is a real good shot. You’ve captured the essence of the feelings between them real well.
