Spice Girl

By munchkinmommy

Abby is spicy as she is sweet.  I admit that I may have consciously or unconsciously chosen to talk more about Abby and her endearingly sweet side.  But I’m a Mom first and foremost, and I’m bound to rave endlessly about the qualities and traits that I love about my daughter than rant about what she does that drives me to insanity.

During Abby’s dance class one fine Friday afternoon in February, when parents were invited to come and watch, I could not believe the number of times the spice girl in Abby rose to the surface…three times in an hour long class!  And I’ve got it all on video! :D   My Mom witnessed all of them, too!  Hahaha!  Enjoy my opening salvo for this week! ;)

Video #1 – “Awwww!” (Abby to Natalia during warm-up)

Video #2 – “Watch Where You’re Going!” (Abby to Loren while doing “mouse runs”)

Video #3 – “Pfht!” (Abby to Ava while doing their clown dance)

Video #4 – “I Love You, Mimi!” (Abby to Mimi while doing “pretty fingers”)

During one of their exercises called “pretty fingers”, Abby’s sweet self briefly rose to the surface…

I don’t know what was wrong with Abby that day.  But she isn’t typically like that.  Promise! :)   I did feel a tad embarrassed because there were other parents present.  We all want our children to be well-behaved in the presence of “others”, right?  I thought so.  :)

Have a great week, y’all and God bless! :D

ps:  I’ll tell you more about our weekend on my next post.  I have yet to download the pics from my camera. ;)

siguro its because may “audience” siya so medyo nape-pressure to “shine”. :) pero she’s really good at following instructions from her dance teacher ha! ang galing, hehe. and she is so adorable in her dance wear. :)

the i “love you mimi” is sooo sweet. i think that, by itself, makes up for all of the spice, hehe. :)

Hi Meeya! Parang ayaw nga niya mag-shine that time. Compared to the other times that I watched her in class, parang itong particular time na ito, wala siya sa mood mag-sayaw at lumilipad ang isip. Hahaha! Natutuwa din ako when Abby’s in her dance wear. Hindi naman kasi ako nakapagsuot ng ganon nung bata ako. Hahaha!

I agree with you, that one “I love you Mimi!” kinda made up for all the spice. ;)

Your blog reminded me of the time I was there! I terribly miss Abby and all her antics…..

Hugs and kisses to my baby (although she always say she’s no longer a baby ’cause she’s a big girl now)…

    God bless!

Hi Mommy! We miss you terribly, too! There’s not a day that goes by that I don’t think about you. :) I’m very thankful that we were able to watch Abby together during her dance class, not only once, but twice! I’m looking forward to the next time we’ll watch her together. Love you! Mmwah!

i agree with mee. :) baka abby became too conscious lang since she knows mommy and lola were watching. ang cute nya sa videos.. as always! :)

Hi Tin! Baka nga rin ganun. Kaya lang naisip ko, kung conscious siya, diba dapat mas lalo siyang well-behaved? Hahaha! :) I’m glad you liked the videos. I look forward to Amelie’s. ;) Have a great weekend! :)

  4. Gracie Says:

she was a bit spicy on the other videos, alright, but the random “i love you, mimi!” was just so heart warming!

and btw, last night, 2 kami ni hubby na audience ni abby. super tawa pala sya dun sa abby talk ‘american idol’ thingy!

    have a great day mommymunchkin!

Hi Gracie! Yes, that “I love you Mimi!” bit was just heartwarming. :) Abby is really sweet naman talaga. :) Naghatak ka pa ng audience for Abby ha! Hee hee! It makes me happy that through her videos, Abby is able to make others smile, too. Sarap! :)

Happy weekend! Ay, Friday jan so last day na ng weekend. Hahaha. I hope you had a great weekend yata ang dapat! :) Mwah!

  5. Pinky Says:

I always believe that we appreciate the sweetness more because of the spice, di ba? ;) Translation: okay lang magtaray paminsan-minsan basta may “I love you Mimi” (or its many variants) na kasunod – hahaha! :D

Kisses to sweet (and spicy) Abby!

Hi Pinks! Abby just shocks me sometimes. And I’m thinking, did she get those sudden bursts of sungit from me? Hahaha! :P Kisses back to you from Abby, Ninang Pinks!

ps: Uy, we’re excited na to have the first wave of relatives from Dondi’s side. ;)

  6. Junnie Says:

i heard i love you mommy….i think she was doing very well and was intent on doing it well, then came distractions…madaling magalit ang mga perfectionists….

Hi Junnie! Are you back from Manila? It’s nice to hear from you. Hmmm, “madaling magalit ang mga perfectionists”…does this mean madali ka ring magalit?! Hahaha! :P Ipinagtanggol mo pa ha! Have a great weekend! :)

I think the Little Girl’s just sooo uber conscious kasi you and her Mimi were watching. spicy yet sweet Abby.

naku, mukhang magiging graceful ballerina si Abby someday. galing sumunod sa instructions ni Teacher. :)

Hi Feng! I’m so sorry I haven’t been able to visit your site. I haven’t been able to bloghop since Wednesday because I was busy setting up my subdomain and then exporting my photo blog from Blogger to WordPress! Thanks for tagging me. I will collect my tag later. Hahaha!

Abby’s dance class will have a year-end demo in June. Excited na nga ako! Mas maraming parents na manonood dun at sana, huwag siyang maging spicy that day. Hahaha! :)
