Mabuhay! How do you like my new bloggin’ home?
I’m still looking for the perfect skin for my site but for now, this simple theme will have to do.
I’ll spruce up the site a little in the coming days. This somehow feels like actually moving from an old home to a new one. And I’m giddy with excitement!
Now, let me get down to some bloggin’ business….
oOo
A while back, I posted an entry with the title Conversations, a very short collection of exchanges between Abby (who was then about 3 months short of her 2nd birthday) and family members. And for my first WordPress post, I’d like to share some new exchanges with Abby, who is becoming more and more of a very interesting and often times amusing conversationalist…
In the car on the way to the office/factory (about a week or two ago)...
Mommy: Abby you’ll be a flowergirl next month! (She looks at me with wondering eyes.)
Mommy: You’ll walk by yourself, ok?
Abby: (with) Mommy!
Mommy: No, Mommy will take your pictures.
Abby: Mommy picture?
Mommy: Yes. And you will be wearing a very beauuuuuuutiful dress and carry a basket of flowers.
Abby: Make-up ako?
Where did that come from?! I giggled and then decided to shut up.
In the dining room while having merienda with her cousin Sophie and while I was working and munching on crackers ….
Mommy: (to Yaya Amor just before she feeds Abby newly cooked hot tikoy) Baka mainit pa ha!
Abby: (pointing to my mouth full of crackers) Mommy! Mouth! Full!
Mommy: Oops. Sorry, Baby! Thanks for reminding Mommy (Nakakahiyang Nanay talaga! Walang manners!)
While watching Dora’s Super Silly Fiesta DVD...
Dora (Or was it Boots’ Daddy?): To make the roller coaster go down, say “Abajo!”
Abby: Abajo! Bad smell! (covers her nose)
Abby sometimes gets her English, Spanish and Filipino mixed up. Hee hee!
In bed, just before going to sleep…
Mommy: I love you, Abby.
Abby: I love you, babes.
She got that from, James Yap, of all people! Husband of Kris Aquino! I giggled and vowed never to watch The Buzz again! (Yeah, right!)
Again, in the dining room over breakfast with her cousins and Ninang Claire….
Ninang Claire: Abby, who’s you favorite ninang?
Abby: (wihtout batting an eyelash) Ninang Claude! (We all gasped in wide-eyed amusement! Ninang Claire is supposed to be her favorite. Heehee.)
Ninang Claire: What’s my name?
Abby: Ninang Claire!
Ninang Claire: Who’s your favorite ninang?
Abby: Ninang Eloise!
There goes your Christmas gift, Abby! She finally got this right a few nights ago. When asked the “Who’s your favorite Ninang question”, Abby’s reply was, “Ninang Claaaaaaaaiiiiire!”. Ninang Claire was definitely a happy camper.
She asked Abby 2 more times just to be sure. Heehee.
There are plenty more fun exchanges with Abby, but these are the ones at the top of my head. I hope to ”collect” some more for posting soon.

For the record, I am your first ever WP commenter. Yehey! Haha!
anyway, abby is so cuuuuttteee talaga!!! tawang-tawa ako sa i love you babes hehehe.
I think it’s great that you’re collecting lots of “abby-isms”
these are the most treasured ones (yung mga first na pangangatwiran, hahaha), before you know it they’ll be talking like “normal” people na and nakaka-miss itong mga ganito

Weng, why the sudden move? What happend to your old blogsite? You still keeping it?
Abby is so cute. “Make-up ako?” Oh no, mukhang mana kay Mommy yan ha!
I don’t think Ninang Pinky will be too happy with this blog entry. Di bale, I think she will realize that the more often you see your inaanak, the better the chance that you will land in the “my favorite ninang” spot. If that is the case, then obviously out of the running na yung asawa ko! : )

Hi! I enjoyed reading your daughter’s funny conversations. Feng has led me to your blog when she read my post about my 3-yr old son’s random conversations.
It’s really amuzing how kids think and how they express themselves. I think putting them on our journal is great because someday they might be able to read it and have a good laugh.
Funny thing about Dora and the word abajo. Such a cute way of connecting words.
Thank you for sharing.
